Windows Updater von Legolash2o

Quoted from "http://wincert.net/news/software/1983-windows-updater-released.html"

Windows Updater has been released on WinCert.net.
What is Windows Updater?
Windows Updater is a program just like Windows Update but it comes with more features:
*CAB Extraction - Extract the CAB files from your *.MSU files
*Update Download - Download the updates which appear on Windows Update itself
*Private Updates - Always wanted those unreleased updates, now you can with this handy tool.
*Install updates as LDR or GDR

Windows Updater was design so users who like to have all the updates regardless if they are GDR or LDR/QFE!

What is the difference between GDR and LDR/QFE?
GDR means General Distribution Release, the are the updates normally found on Windows Update.

LDR (Limited Distribution Release) also known as QFE (Quick Fix Engineering). LDR, also known as hotfixes or QFEs, are created when a hardware, BIOS or a software issue is identified that needs a fix in a specific and small subset of customer environments. These fixes have not been tested for the same length of time for regressions or incompatibilities as what a GDR fix typically goes through. Another key point is LDRs generally contain all the prior fixes from both GDR and LDR while GDR releases do not contain LDR fixes.

For more information click here.
What is the difference between GDR and LDR Installer?
Some updates contain both GDR and LDR version of the updates, so the GDR Installer installs the update using the default method while LDR Installer installs the updates with the newer updates. LDR/QFE Updates are experimental and have not been thoroughly tested so it is recommended for advanced users only.
