virtualbox 3.2.8

Hi

I've just attempted to install protable virtualbox 3.2.8 on to a usb stick, however, there appears to be a problem. When clicking 'ok' on the extract and/or compress box after having manually downloading the install file from sun/oracle, pointing the script to it and selecting the appropraite options nothing happens at all. Nothing appears to be extracted to the usb stick and there's zero activity on task manager, apart from the 'noise' of an idle system. I'm using windows xp sp3 on an eeepc 901 (not that i'm intending to use virtual box on that system, it's far too underpowered for what I intend to do).

Welcome @ Win-Lite.de !

Maybe a problem with read/write in security options? Try to take ownership of the partition.

A permissions problems was my first thought, but if it that was the cause of the problem the "starter" file wouldn't have been able to extract it's files to the stick in the first place. unless of course there are some other permissions I have to set! Any other suggestions?
